Hi! My name is Damilola Awofisayo. I'm currently a junior at Duke University, majoring in computer science with a minor in business administration at UNC-Chapel Hill. I am a full-ride merit scholarship recipient through the Robertson Scholar Leadership Program. My primary interest lies at the intersection of technology and society. I am passionate about developing and exploring tech projects in these fields, particularly their impact on various communities and institutions worldwide.

An app that helps people learn American Sign Language with step-by-step modules and live feedback. I worked in a group with 3; built and integrated the CoreML model to detect live hand gestures to learn the basics of ASL with live feedback. Submitted to MIT’s hackathon; received the most participant votes out of 70+ projects.
Built a full-stack website and chatbot that can discuss over 20 different political issues and recommend articles and resources to combat the increasing political apathy and division in the US.
Plantry is an app that helps amateur farmers and gardeners by tracking and organizing home gardens, giving new plant and recipe suggestions, and using machine learning to detect plant diseases and recognize plants the user wants to know about. Built using Swift and CoreML
Investyx is an app that aims to educate future generations on effective investment practice through use of interactive game simulations and personalized ratings for your investments. Built using Swift, Flask and the Plaid API
Trained ML model employing computer vision and natural language processing techniques to detect dark patterns on web and mobile apps. Worked on data collection using Python to scrape dark patterns from over 1000+ websites. Paper accepted for the 45th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2023)
